So Joe Rogan recently did a "sober October" challenge for lack of a better term where he decided to quit pot and alcholol. He claims he feels fine, but doesn't it take a month for weed to get out the system of a chronic marijuana user. I would like to see how he feels the second month.
Now on the subject of pot I have always been pro-pot. He makes a good point in that marijuana is beneficial in many ways. I feel more optimistic and friendly after smoking. It is used in many cases to help illnesses when you look at medicinal marijuana.
My personal opinion is that I think at a "higher" level, when 'high' on pot, but on the contrary my memory isn't the greatest. Also, if you want to live healthy I think it is always best live on the bear essentials that you need, or not being reliant on any one thing unless it is clearly benifeting your heatlh.
I think at this point in time there has not been enough research to tell either way. Pot effects everyone different, but maybe this just depends on the strand you are smoking. Is it more or less beneficial?
There is always the point about CBD, a component of marijuana that helps in many ways. It should be interesting to see where marijuana legalization brings us. I suppose like most things it is made to be used in moderation

Golf, Shred, Live
Golf, Shred, Live
So its been a while since I posted. I've been busy with a new job as a dietary aide at a nursing home, but have still managed to play some golf and live the good life. In addition, I am ten months clean and sober, and haven't had a cigarette in two years after smoking since I was 16. I'll save more of my activities this past year in the 'live" rundown below.
Golf
My late grandfather, and my current father and grandmother all play golf. Also, I have uncles that golf, as well as many friends. I like to play a few different courses a year. I find it rewarding to play the same courses consistently. It gives you course knowledge which leads to lower scoring and more fun. I've played courses in Virginia, Florida, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I would like to play a professional course before I die. Now that I think of it, I may have already when I was younger.
Being clean and sober and playing often has really helped my game. I posted a +3 and a +4 for nine holes so far this year. Last time out I played 18 and recorded two birdies. Anyways the golf season has been king to me as my father paid for most of my golf this year. I like to also play with my good friend. We all get along well and are in love with the game.
Shred
I haven't been on a snowboard in a couple years. I did purchase a skateboard to help with my balance. Hopefully this year will be snowy and productive on the mountains.
Live
Again, I've been living a clean and sober life. I got my own apartment on section 8, purchased a car, and got a new job. I've dabbled a bit in online poker and sportsbetting but am trying to give it up. As far as living goes I went fruit picking and have been watching a lot of tv. I also exercise a few times a week. I'm on a couple of powerful medications which have been holding me back a bit but I like to be an optimist.
I'm pretty disgusted with this post but its better then nothing.
