Control (freak)

So I like to listen to a variety of music either while relaxing, working, or playing.  I have found that when I  have positive memories when listening to certain songs, these songs make me feel good when  I hear them.  It's  interesting how the mood I'm in  makes me interpret  songs differently especially since many songs use puns in their lyrics.

I can only control what songs I listen to,  and depending on  my mood I will put on different songs.  I've actually noticed that  many casual golfers like to listen  to music while they play.  They have a Bluetooth speaker in  the golf cart.  This goes against traditional golf etiquette because you are supposed to be still and silent when you hit.  I find this intriguing  because different songs, as previously stated, inspire you differently.  I suppose if you hit good shots to  certain  songs, these songs may influence you when you here them.  Music is made to  impact your mind depending on what type of music you are  listening to.

I also enjoy listening to music while snowboarding.  Snowboarding is more of an art than  a science, and I  like to listen to all types of music while carving my runs.  It also makes the time pass more quickly when on  a chairlift.

Finally, music has a big impact when I am focused and playing poker.  It makes waiting for a hand easier, and keeps me focused on  playing "good" poker.   I have recently questioned my control when it comes to gambling.  I am mostly looking  forward to playing winning poker while listening to equally compelling music.

GOD, GRANT ME THE SERENITY, TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE, THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN, AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
